FAQs

How long does it take to create a video?

A typical 1 min explainer animation on average would be 4-6 weeks, but of course, it depends on what you want and what your goals are. Get in touch for a personalised quote.

How much does it cost?

Animation is very varied, your project will fall somewhere on a scale between stop motion and the Pixar film Toy Story so it’s difficult to gauge without getting an idea of your business needs. That’s why we put together a free and unique proposal for each client, to get started book a call here.

As a rough guide, an average 1 min explainer project will be in the region of £7500-£12000 and if you have different needs we’ll generally need a minimum investment of £2500 to do your project justice. For more info see the pricing page or book a call.

What results can I expect?

Animation can help smooth your sales process, boost awareness and increase sales. When you explain everything a buyer needs to know to make a purchase and show them how it solves a problem, it can’t help but increase conversions.

How many revisions do we get?

We set the number of script revisions to three to keep your mind focused. Beyond this our policy is as long as the project is moving forward in good faith we won’t limit you to a set number of amends.

We’ll show you work at key points and ask for signoff, that way there are no surprises at the end, or need for masses of changes, we’re constantly narrowing in on the right solution.

Think of animation as a waterfall process, each step happens in order and must be approved and signed off for the next stage to begin. Just like a waterfall its very difficult to travel against the current. So for example, if the script is signed off then at the last minute you want a change that means all the design and animation need to be undone and changed. This is costly in terms of time and money, plus it will also negatively affect the quality of the video because the time that would have been spent polishing and refining the project will be wasted redoing existing work.

What is an animated explainer video and why are they effective tools?

In the simplest terms, it's an engaging animation that quickly explains your service, product, or message. It speaks directly to your audience relating to their problems and how to solve those from your unique perspective.

It's no coincidence that video is consistently people's preferred form of content. Our brains are hardwired to follow the path of least resistance and conserve energy, a throw over from the times humans were hunter-gatherers, and your next meal wasn't guaranteed. It's much easier to watch a video than read an article, and therefore, much easier to convert your audience through video.

Explainer videos are the quickest way to transfer information via your web page. The blend of auditory information, imagery, and storytelling helps people retain the ideas you're sharing and remember your brand. It's also a great way to build trust and create a powerful emotional connection, which is the first step on the road to the holy grail of brand loyalty.

Explainer videos can move people through your sales funnel quickly giving them all the information they need to make a purchase or take action. Plus, keeping people engaged on your website longer, for the time it takes to watch a video can help boost your SEO.

Now, add the lens of great storytelling and some behavioural psychology techniques that bypass the logical part of the brain and connect deeply with your audience’s frustrations and goals. Then you’ve got a super potent kick-ass tool to blow away your audience and reach your objectives.

What’s a mood board? What are style frames? What’s an animatic?

A mood board is a collection of images that aims to define the mood or style of your project. We take inspiration from a wide range of sources to create something new and totally unique for your brand.

Style frames are when we develop the mood board into a specific shot for your animation. We apply your brand colours and guides plus the styles and ideas from the mood board to create a unique image so that you can see the style of animation for the first time.

An Animatic is a really simple form of animation we use to develop the timing and pacing of the animation. It will generally include the voice over and a music mix.
